Environment Southland promotes the sustainable use of land through the offering of expert advice on best management practices that allows for the management of effects on land and
water through resource use and natural events.
Along with individual on-farm advice our officers also facilitate and run field-days, work with community groups and provide advice for industries reliant on land use, to increase
awareness of land management issues and associated best management practices.
