State of the Environment
Environment Southland and Te Ao Marama Inc have begun co-writing four reports which together make up Southland Water 2010: Report on the State of Southland's Freshwater Environment. Three of the four reports are now available here for download and the final report is due for release in December 2011.
Southland's first State of the Environment Report on the freshwater resources and ecosystems in Southland was released by Environment Southland in 2000.
The State of Southland's Coastal Marine Environment was released in 2005. It was a collaborative effort between Environment Southland, Department of Conservation, Invercargill City Council, Southland District Council and Te Ao Marama Inc.
Environment Southland is the brand name of Southland Regional Council.
