Grow from Here: Plant propagation webinar

We’re excited to bring you two hands‑on learning opportunities that will help you understand, collect, and grow the native plants that make our ecosystems thrive. Whether you're restoring your own patch, supporting a community project, or just keen to learn, these events will give you the knowledge and confidence to get the right plant in the right place at the right time.

Join us online for an inspiring ecosourcing and propagation webinar, then head out with us the next day for a real‑world seed‑collecting workshop in one of our region’s stunning restoration sites.

Part of our role is to protect and maintain our region’s precious native biodiversity. Through these events we’re helping Southlanders build the skills to restore and look after our region’s biodiversity, starting with the right plants in the right place. Local expert Josie Blackshaw, Co-founder of Northern Southland Reforestation Trust and Lumsden Community Nursery, will be leading the events.

There is also a Field Day Workshop held in Lumsden on Saturday 14 March. More details here.
