Rainfall totals recorded on Environment Southland's raingauge network in the past week ranged from 2 mm at Cainard to 9.5 mm at Piano Flat
Coastal Southland had 5 mm at Woodlands
Western Southland had 6 mm at Clifden
Northern Southland had 7.5 mm at Five Rivers and 2 mm at Cainard
North-western Southland had 3.5 mm at Gorge Burn and 2 mm at Mt Hamilton
North-eastern Southland had 9.5 mm at Piano Flat and 4.5 mm at Waikaka
Central Southland had 7.5 mm at Lora Station
River Flows
The upper Mataura River at Parawa was 59% below the long term average for March
The lower Mataura River at Seaward Downs was 70% below average.
The upper Oreti River at Lumsden was 73% below average.
The lower Oreti River at Wallacetown was 72% below average.
The Aparima River at Dunrobin was 63% below average.
