Maritime Manager/ Regional Harbourmaster
Lyndon joined the Environment Southland team in 2011. He commenced his maritime career with the Royal New Zealand Navy, and after serving there for twenty years, he moved on to the New Zealand Customs Service, Maritime Section for six years. Lyndon has a keen interest in the maritime sector, in particular boating education, where he often visits Primary and Intermediate schools teaching boating safety to students.
Ian has been involved in the
marine environment most of his life as a commercial
fisherman, and started his current role in November 2016. He's been involved in the Riverton Coastguard for nearly 30
years holding most positions in the organisation, and has been on the board of Coastguard
New Zealand for 12 years, serving three years as the national president. Ian is a Coastguard Boating Education tutor, and a qualified diver.
