Environment Southland's Dairy Liaison Officer, Russell Winter, has won this year's staff award for positive influence.
Russell deals with every farmer who is planning a dairy conversion or aiming to improve the performance of a dairy effluent system. He is at the forefront of Environment Southland's efforts to promote best practice on dairy farms and in that capacity he has a major influence on the way dairying impacts on our environment.
Russell is widely respected in the community, because he in his turn respects the people he deals with on a daily basis.
