RMA Application - Donnelly Trust

Public notice is hereby given pursuant to S.95A Resource Management Act 1991 that the following applications for resource consents have been received by Environment Southland.
P & C M Donnelly for the Donnelly Trust, Winton - Resource Consent Application D081-001
Purpose: to take up to 114,000 litres per day of groundwater from the Lower Central Plains Groundwater Zone. The abstraction is a Restricted Discretionary Activity under Rule 23(d)(ii) of the Regional Water Plan for Southland. To discharge farm dairy effluent to land from a dairy shed servicing up to 900 cows. The effluent will be spread using a low-rate irrigation system and the discharge may be deferred in adverse conditions by temporary storage in an effluent pond. The discharge is a discretionary activity under Rule 5.4.6 of the Regional Effluent Land Application Plan. Land use consent to construct a 9,000 m3 effluent storage pond. The land use consent is a Restricted Discretionary Activity under Rule 49(a) of the Regional Water Plan for Southland
Location: 104 South Hillend Road, Winton, 7 km east of Limehills, at about map reference NZMS 260 E45: 390-509.
Legal Description of Site: Lot 1 Lt 453, Sections 239, 239, 333 and 334 Taringatura SD.

Submissions on the above application must be received by Environment Southland no later than the end of working hours on Thursday, 9 February 2012. A submission form is available from Environment Southland. Submissions may also be forwarded by email to service@es.govt.nz.
Submissions must be dated and signed (unless forwarded electronically) and must include the following information:
- your name, postal address and telephone number (and fax number if applicable);
- details of the application in respect of which you are making the submission;
- whether it is in support of, or in opposition to the application, or is neutral;
- your submissions, with reasons;
- the decision that you wish Council to make; and
- whether you wish to be heard in support of your submission
and you must serve a copy of your submission on the applicant as soon as reasonably practicable.
