RMA Application - J & A Coppus Trust

Public notice is hereby given pursuant to S.95A Resource Management Act 1991 that the following application for resource consent has been received by Environment Southland.

JJ & A Coppus for the J & A Coppus Trust, Limehills - Resource Consent Application C188-002

Purpose: to take up to 108,000 litres/day of groundwater from the Lower Oreti Groundwater Zone and to to discharge farm dairy effluent to land by low rate irrigation. The abstraction is a discretionary activity under Rule 23(d) of the Regional Water Plan for Southland and the discharge will include effluent from a dairy shed servicing up to 900 cows during the standard season and 200 cows during the winter period, and effluent from a stand-off pad/feedpad.

The application for the effluent storage pond is being processed separately.

Location: Harris Road, Limehills.  The site is south and east of the corner of Limehills-Browns Road and Dipton-Winton Highway, at about map reference NZMS 260 E45:500-477. 

Legal Description of Site: Lot 1 DP 301516, Sections 3 and 4 SO 11927, Sections 12, 13, 27, 39 and 40 and Part Section 41 Block IV Winton Hundred, Section 7 Block IX Winton Hundred, Section 44 Block VIII Winton Hundred.

Submissions on the above application must be received by Environment Southland no later than the end of working hours on Thursday, 9 February 2012.  A submission form is available from Environment Southland.  Submissions may also be forwarded by email to service@es.govt.nz

Submissions must be dated and signed (unless forwarded electronically) and must include the following information:

  1. your name, postal address and telephone number (and fax number if applicable);
  2. details of the application in respect of which you are making the submission;
  3. whether it is in support of, or in opposition to the application, or is neutral;
  4. your submissions, with reasons;
  5. the decision that you wish Council to make; and
  6. whether you wish to be heard in support of your submission

and you must serve a copy of your submission on the applicant as soon as reasonably practicable.
