Public notice is hereby given pursuant to S.95A Resource Management Act 1991 that the following applications for resource consent have been received by Environment Southland.
R T & T E Miller - Water Permit Application M509-001
Purpose: To abstract up to 6,048 m3 per day, but not more than 907,360 m3 a year, from two bores within the Wendonside groundwater zone to irrigate approximately 212 ha of pasture.
The abstraction is a discretionary activity in accordance with Rule 23(d)(iii) of the Regional Water Plan for Southland.
Location: 449 Riversdale Waikaia Road, Waipounamu from bore no. F44/0323 at or about map reference NZMS 260 F44:8033-7721; and bore no. F44/0339 at or about map reference NZMS 260 F44:8073-7724.
Legal description of property: Secs 4, 12-13, 26-27, Blk VIII, Pt Sec 2 Blk VIII Wendonside SD, and Sec 50-51 Blk VIII Wendonside SD.

Submissions on the above applications must be received by Environment Southland no later than the end of working hours on Monday, 30 January 2012. A submission form is available from Environment Southland. Submissions may also be forwarded by email to service@es.govt.nz
Submissions must be dated and signed (unless forwarded electronically) and must include the following information:
- your name, postal address and telephone number (and fax number if applicable);
- details of the application in respect of which you are making the submission;
- whether it is in support of, or in opposition to the application, or is neutral;
- your submissions, with reasons;
- the decision that you wish Council to make; and
- whether you wish to be heard in support of your submission
and you must serve a copy of your submission on the applicant as soon as reasonably practicable.
