Public notice is hereby given pursuant to S.95A Resource Management Act 1991 that the following application for resource consents has been received by Environment Southland.

 P I & R E Hartley and R Rai - Discharge, Water and Land Use Application H225-001

 The application is for resource consents for

  • a discharge permit to replace an existing discharge permit to discharge effluent to land from up to 400 cows. The proposal is a controlled activity under Rule 5.4.5 of the Regional Effluent Land Application Plan for Southland.
  • a water permit  to replace an existing water permit to take up to 48,000 litres of groundwater per day from a single bore. The proposal is a discretionary activity under Rule 23(d)(ii) of the Regional Water Plan for Southland.
  • a land use consent to construct a 1,520 m3 farm dairy effluent storage pond. The proposal is a restricted discretionary activity under Rule 49(a) of the Regional Water Plan for Southland.

Purpose: Dairy Farming Operation.

Location: Moore Road, Wyndham at about NZMS 260 F46:83-225.

Submissions on the above applications must be received by Environment Southland no later than the end of working hours on Thursday, 8 March 2012.  A submission form is available from Environment Southland.  Submissions may also be forwarded by email to service@es.govt.nz

Submissions must be dated and signed (unless forwarded electronically) and must include the following information:

  1. your name, postal address and telephone number (and fax number if applicable);
  2. details of the application in respect of which you are making the submission;
  3. whether it is in support of, or in opposition to the application, or is neutral;
  4. your submissions, with reasons;
  5. the decision that you wish Council to make; and
  6. whether you wish to be heard in support of your submission

and you must serve a copy of your submission on the applicant as soon as reasonably practicable.
