RMA - Southland District Council - Browns

Public notice is hereby given pursuant to S.95A Resource Management Act 1991 that the following application for resource consent has been received by Environment Southland.
Southland District Council - Discharge of Wastewater Treatment Plant Effluent Application S122-009
To replace an existing discharge permit to discharge treated human sewage effluent to an unnamed tributary of Tussock Creek and to land near Browns Township. The proposal is a discretionary activity under both Rule 5.2.1 of the Regional Effluent Land Application Plan for Southland and Rule 1 of the Regional Water Plan.
Purpose: Sewage Treatment Plant servicing Browns Township
Location: Limeworks Road, Browns at about NZMS 260 F46:752-232.

Submissions on the above application must be received by Environment Southland no later than the end of working hours on Tuesday 6 March 2012. A submission form is available from Environment Southland. Submissions may also be forwarded by email to service@es.govt.nz
Submissions must be dated and signed (unless forwarded electronically) and must include the following information:
- your name, postal address and telephone number (and fax number if applicable);
- details of the application in respect of which you are making the submission;
- whether it is in support of, or in opposition to the application, or is neutral;
- your submissions, with reasons;
- the decision that you wish Council to make; and
- whether you wish to be heard in support of your submission
and you must serve a copy of your submission on the applicant as soon as reasonably practicable.
