National Wetlands Symposium 2012
Event Date: 21/03/2012 to 23/03/2012
The National Wetlands Restoration Symposium will be held in Invercargill, home to the internationally renowned Ramsar wetlands known as the Awarua wetlands complex and Waituna Lagoon, between 21-23 March 2012.
The Southland Wetlands Working Party is helping the National Wetlands Trust of New Zealand host the event and registrations are now open. Early-bird registrations have now closed.
The theme for the next symposium is Wetlands-Are we getting it right? Presentations and field trips will cover four broad categories:
1. Effective Community Engagement
2. Regulatory vs. non Regulatory Approaches
3. Communicating Science to the Public
4. Integrated Management of Wetlands for Ecosystem Outcomes
