Payment dates
All rates payments are due by the end of November each year.
A 10% late payment penalty will be imposed on:
- any current rates due but not paid by 5.00 pm on the due date;
- all rates in arrears as at 1 July each year remaining unpaid on the following 1 January (this penalty excludes current year's rates);
- all rates in arrears as at 1 July the following year.
Penalties pay for the cost of collecting rates in arrears and are applied in fairness to those ratepayers who pay their accounts on time. If you cannot pay the full amount, a part payment will reduce the penalty.
