Fees & charges
We carry out a regular financial review, to ensure fees and charges for our services remain fair and equitable. Our financial strategy takes a user pays approach where possible, so we carefully consider who the users are and who benefits from natural resource use.
Where appropriate, costs incurred for council activities that are carried out mainly to benefit consent holders are largely apportioned to them, rather than the general ratepayer.
Our current fees and charges are set in our 'Fees and Charges Schedule 2018-21'.

You can also find us in your list of registered payees under Environment Southland / Southland Regional Council. Please enter your Acc No. from the top right corner of your invoice in the reference field only. No other information is required, however if your bank requires additional fields to be completed, please enter the invoice number you are making the payment on.

|Our office||Call into our office on the corner of North Road and Price Street, Invercargill. We are open from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday. EFTPOS facilities are available. We accept Visa, Bankcard and Mastercard.|
|Cheque||Send us your cheque in the post along with your remittance advice to Private Bag 90116, Invercargill 9840.|
Annual consent charges
All consent holders are required to pay an annual charge that covers the costs of administration and monitoring of consents. Below are a couple of links to help answer any questions and make payments.
Refunds - consent application deposit fee
Regardless of fixed fees that are paid on lodgement of an application, we only charge actual costs as required by the Act. Refunds are given, or additional fees are charged, whichever is appropriate.
Additional annual users charges will apply to all consents. These are payable when invoiced July/August each year.
