If you haven’t switched to getting your invoice by email, now’s the time!
Every three months, we will be giving away a $250 voucher. To enter simply complete the form below.

You can apply to have your rates emailed to you if you are the ratepayer/owner of the property and your name is on the rates notice. If you own your property with one or more people, you will need to be representing all owners as solely authorised on their behalf.
Terms and conditions
This competition is open to Environment Southland ratepayers with a registered email address who have signed up to receive their annual rates invoice by email at the time of each prize draw.
A random draw of one winner of a $250 supermarket voucher will be made from the list of registered email addresses on 1 December 2025, 1 March 2026, 1 June 2026 and 1 September 2026.
If you receive a printed rates invoice in your post, we don’t have your email address for sending your rates invoice electronically. Go to ‘Email my rates’ to subscribe to receive your next rates invoice by email and be included in the prize draw.
- The prize is non-transferable and not redeemable for cash.
- Winners will be notified by email, and if no response is received to claim the prize within one week of notification, a subsequent random draw will be made.
- A subsequent draw will also be made if the winner is deemed ineligible.
- Winners’ names will not be made public.
- Email addresses collected for receiving rates invoices will only be used for sending the rates invoice and for contacting the prize draw winner.
- We reserve the right to cancel any or all the prize draws or change the dates of the draws.
Eligibility
- You have registered to receive your rates invoice by email with a valid email address
- One entry per email address
- You have fully paid your 2024-2025 rates invoice
- Entry is free for eligible
- Ratepayers who have signed up by 5pm the day before each draw will be included in the prize draw (i.e signed up by 31 November; 28 February; 31 May and 31 August)
- Environment Southland employees are ineligible
