Southerners looking to the sky for renewable energy
Murihiku Southland Climate Change Impact Assessment Report
This report helps the region plan for climate risks in the future. It is a key tool for people to understand how a range of climate change impacts might affect them.
“The trajectory and direction of travel is pretty clear. We’re moving from the climate we’ve known to a more challenging climate,” says Environment Southland Councillor and Regional Climate Change Working Group co-chair Phil Morrison.
The information and modelling in the report will be critical for the region to be able to make sound decisions, be as prepared as possible, and adapt where needed.
